Connecting Google Search Console to HubSpot is one of the fastest ways to turn HubSpot's native SEO panel from a content checklist into an actual performance dashboard. Once the integration is live, clicks, impressions, CTR and average position appear next to every page you publish — so your editorial calendar finally sits next to real search data instead of guesses. This guide walks through the exact setup, how HubSpot's SEO tools interact with GSC and Google Analytics, and the handful of issues that trip most teams up.

How to Connect Google Search Console to HubSpot

  1. In your HubSpot portal, click the Marketplace icon in the main navigation bar.
  2. Use the search bar to look up Google Search Console. Hover over the integration and click View integration.
  3. Click Connect to Google Search Console. Enter your Google credentials and click Allow to grant HubSpot permission to access your account.
  4. Choose the GSC property that matches your HubSpot domain. Make sure it's an exact match without variations.
  5. Click Save. You'll see a confirmation in your HubSpot SEO tools when the sync is active.
  6. Access your GSC data by going to Marketing > Website > SEO. Your pages now display GSC data: clicks, impressions, CTR and average position. Wait 24–48 hours for the first wave of data to appear.

HubSpot SEO Tools + Google Search Console + Google Analytics: How They Work Together

These three tools serve different purposes but work better together. Google Search Console tells you how your site performs in Google Search: which queries trigger your pages, how many impressions you get and where you rank. Google Analytics takes over once the user lands on your site, tracking sessions, behavior and conversions. HubSpot connects all that data to your CRM, campaigns and content strategy, giving you a full view.

Using all three together means you can track the full journey — from how a user found you in Google to whether they converted into a contact or customer in HubSpot.

Common Issues When Connecting Google Search Console to HubSpot

  • GSC data not appearing after connecting. GSC data takes 24–48 hours to populate after the integration is enabled. If data still doesn't appear after 48 hours, confirm the correct GSC property is selected and that it matches your HubSpot domain exactly.
  • Site not automatically verified in GSC. HubSpot-hosted sites verify automatically. If yours didn't, check that you're using a URL-prefix property in GSC — domain properties do not auto-verify. If the issue persists, contact HubSpot Support.
  • Wrong GSC property selected. If you have multiple properties in GSC (www vs. non-www, different subdomains), make sure you select the one that matches your active HubSpot domain. You can change this in Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps.

I've spent the last 10+ years completely obsessed with SEO — and honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.

My career hit a new level when I worked as a senior SEO specialist for Chess.com — one of the top 100 most visited websites on the entire internet. Operating at that scale, across millions of pages, dozens of languages, and one of the most competitive SERPs out there, taught me things no course or certification ever could. That experience changed my perspective on what great SEO really looks like — and it became the foundation for everything I've built since.

From that experience, I founded SEO Alive — an agency for brands that are serious about organic growth. We're not here to sell dashboards and monthly reports. We're here to build strategies that actually move the needle, combining the best of classical SEO with the exciting new world of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) — making sure your brand shows up not just in Google's blue links, but inside the AI-generated answers that ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews are delivering to millions of people every single day.

And because I couldn't find a tool that handled both of those worlds properly, I built one myself — SEOcrawl, an enterprise SEO intelligence platform that brings together rankings, technical audits, backlink monitoring, crawl health, and AI brand visibility tracking all in one place. It's the platform I always wished existed.
