This Privacy Policy explains what personal data SEOcrawl processes, on what legal basis, who receives it, how long it is kept and how you can exercise your rights. It covers three products:

- The SEOcrawl platform at https://app.seocrawl.ai
- The SEOcrawl SEO Extension for Google Chrome

This policy is written to comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Andorran Law 29/2021 of 18 October on the protection of personal data, and the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

SEOCRAWL, SL is the sole data controller for the personal data processed through the website, the SEOcrawl platform and the SEOcrawl SEO Extension for Google Chrome, and is responsible for the publication and maintenance of the extension.

SEOcrawl SEO Extension for Google Chrome
The SEOcrawl SEO Extension is a free browser extension that analyses the SEO factors of the page you are viewing — metadata, headings, canonical tags, hreflang, Open Graph and Twitter tags, internal and external links — and shows the result in the extension popup when you click on its icon.
This section describes exactly what the extension does with data. It applies in addition to the general sections further below.
Permissions the extension requests and why

What the extension does and does not send
- The extension only acts when you open it. It does not run in the background, does not track your browsing and does not record the pages you visit.
- The content of the pages you visit is not sent to us. The SEO elements are read and displayed inside your browser.
- The URL of the page you choose to analyse is sent to our servers (
app.seocrawl.ai) so that our system can run the web health checks on that address and return the results to the extension. Our servers then fetch that address the same way a search engine crawler would. If the page is private or behind a login, our servers cannot reach it and no content is obtained. - Local storage. Your preferences and the last analysis are stored on your device using the browser's own storage. They never leave your device and are deleted when you uninstall the extension or clear the extension's data.
- Anonymous usage statistics. The extension sends anonymous usage events to Google Analytics 4 (for example, that an analysis was run) so we can understand which features are used and fix errors. These events carry a randomly generated identifier and technical information about the event. They do not include your name, your email address, the content of the pages you visit or any data that identifies you personally. See Google's privacy policy.
- Your SEOcrawl account is optional. The extension works without an account. If you choose to sign in to SEOcrawl, the extension can additionally show you the Google Search Console keyword and performance data of the analysed URL for the properties connected to your own account. That data comes from your account and is shown only to you.
Limited use and what we never do
In line with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, we confirm that data handled by the extension is used only to provide and improve the features described above. Specifically, we never:
- Sell, rent or trade your data to third parties.
- Use or transfer your data for advertising, ad targeting, retargeting or the building of advertising profiles.
- Use or transfer your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
- Use your data for any purpose unrelated to the single purpose of the extension.
- Allow humans to read your data, except with your explicit consent for a specific support request, where it is necessary for security purposes or to comply with applicable law, or where the data is aggregated and anonymised.
- Collect passwords, payment or financial information, health data, personal communications, location data or browsing history.
Retention and how to stop the processing
Analysed URLs are kept only for the time needed to return the result and to keep the service running, and for a maximum of 12 months in our technical logs. Anonymous statistics are retained under the Google Analytics retention settings, currently 14 months.
You can stop all processing at any time by uninstalling the extension from chrome://extensions. Uninstalling deletes the data the extension stored on your device.
Data we process on the website and the platform
Categories of data
Depending on how you use our products, we process: identifying data (name, surname, email address, company), account data (username, encrypted password, plan, preferences), billing data where you subscribe to a paid plan, and technical data (IP address, browser and device type, pages visited on our site).
Where you connect Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 or another integration to your SEOcrawl account, we process the data of those properties on your instructions and only to display it to you inside your account. We do not use it for any other purpose and we do not share it.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16, and we do not process special categories of personal data.

Recipients
We do not sell personal data, and we do not transfer it to third parties except: to service providers who process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics), and where we are required to do so by law or by a competent authority.
Some of these providers are located outside the European Economic Area. In that case the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
Account data is kept for as long as your account is active and, after it is closed, for the period required to meet our legal obligations. Billing data is kept for the period set by applicable tax and accounting law. Data processed on the basis of consent is deleted when you withdraw it.
Security
We apply the technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access control, segregation of environments and regular backups, and we require the same of our providers. In the event of a personal data breach affecting your rights, we will notify the competent supervisory authority and, where required, you.
Your rights
You may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right not to be subject to automated individual decisions, as well as withdraw any consent you have given.
To do so, write to info@seocrawl.com from the address associated with your account, or to our postal address above, stating the right you wish to exercise. We will answer within one month. Exercising these rights is free of charge.
If you believe your data has not been handled correctly, you may lodge a complaint with the Andorran Data Protection Agency (APDA) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
Cookies
Our website uses its own and third-party cookies. The detail of which cookies we use, their purpose and how to disable, reject or delete them is set out in our Cookie Policy.
The Chrome extension does not use cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our products or in applicable law. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, we will inform you through the product or by email.
